The July 2007 establishment of Estrela Artist Management marked the expansion of founder Ellen Haffner’s music management career, which began in 2004 when she devoted her spare time to working for indie-rock band Redmark. Starting with nothing more than event organization skills and a few local connections, Ellen quickly built a strong regional network. Finding her natural gift for gab and engaging manner to be her greatest assets in music management, Ellen worked tirelessly to help Redmark develop an entertaining performance style, a diverse fan-base, and a thriving business. Throughout her years working for Redmark, Ellen also used the knowledge and connections she developed to help other artists from the northwest by offering advice, booking gigs, writing press releases and bios, planning events, and designing art for flyers, CDs, and other items. Ellen has long felt the purpose of her artist management work was simply to help artists pursue their dreams and to work with them to be the best they can be.
In addition to officially managing Redmark, Estrela Artist Management also took on working for rising pop singer/guitarist Ryan Stevenson in May 2007. EAM will continue to work helping artists find gigs, venues find artists, and fans find new music! Be sure to keep checking back to see what will happen next!
